Pew Research has some more bad news for President Obama. The organization released the results of its poll on Monday, the first national survey since last week's debate, showing that Mitt Romney’s strong performance has erased the president’s lead. Registered voters are now evenly split between the candidates at 46 percent each. In September, Obama had a commanding nine-point edge. But perhaps more worrisome for the president is the fact that Romney now has a 49-45 percent lead among likely voters. The debate also helped Romney with his favorability rating, which hit 50 percent for the first time in a Pew poll. Obama’s favorability numbers declined from 55 to 49 percent.
