It’s been a tough couple of days for Team Obama in the polls. The latest bit of bad news comes in the form of a new survey from Pew Research Center, which found that 51% of voters viewed running mate Joe Biden unfavorably while 39% viewed him favorably. Heading into Thursday’s vice presidential debate, Republican Paul Ryan has a slight edge, with 44% holding a favorable view of the challenger and 44% holding an unfavorable view. Meanwhile, Mitt Romney continues to make headway. The latest Reuters/Ipsos tracking poll released Wednesday has the former Massachusetts governor ahead 45% to Obama’s 44%.
