The late BBC presenter Jimmy Savile sexually assaulted up to 500 children and adolescents—some as young as 10—during his four decades of pedophilia, according to a new report to be released Friday. The 30-page report, “Giving Victims a Voice,” was led by the Metropolitan police and the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children. It will expose intimate details of Savile’s sexual crimes, including the names of the institutions, hospitals, and clinics where he targeted his victims, as well as the specific health services and agencies that turned a blind eye. Savile died in 2011 after a severe case of pneumonia.
