Things aren’t looking up for Motorola’s Mobility unit, now owned by Google. Despite being part of the company that creates the Android software run on most phones, Motorola Mobility continues to lose money, forcing Google to continue reductions that began last year. Since Google bought Motorola in 2011 for $12.5 billion, the once popular phone maker has continued to lose market share to Samsung and Apple.
