Talk about a massive error. The man suspected of killing Colorado's corrections chief Tom Clements was accidentally released from prison four years early due to a clerical error. In 2008, while serving an eight-year sentence, Evan Ebel pleaded guilty to assaulting a guard and was sentenced to an additional four years. A court clerk mistakenly noted that the sentences would be served at the same time, rather than tacked on to the end of Ebel's current term. Ebel was killed in a shootout with police last week.
