Turkish authorities on Sunday blamed a group tied to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad for a deadly blast in a town near the border a day earlier. At least 46 people were killed and injured at least 50 more in Saturday’s twin car bomb blasts in Reyhanli, a southern Turkish town located near the main border crossing into Syria that has become saturated with refugees fleeing the bloody civil war. The majority of the victims were Turkish nationals, but Turkey’s interior minister said that at least seven Syrians had been hospitalized. Turkish foreign minister, Ahmet Davutoglu, insisted after the bombing that Turkey now has the right “to take every measure” against Syria.
