Did he not like the way they looked? Men’s Wearhouse co-founder George Zimmer quit the Board of Directors on Monday, just a few days after he was fired as executive chairman. Sources on the Board of Directors said Zimmer, 64, wanted “full control” and had sparred with his hand-picked CEO, Douglas Ewert, who took over in 2009. The Board of Directors also released a statement saying it now believes it is time to sell the company and Zimmer had reversed his position about keeping the company private and instead wanted to sell it to an investment company.
