We're all for diversity, but this seems a little much. It turns out the human foot has an average of 50 different types of fungi living on it. Researchers at the National Institutes of Health swabbed the feet of 10 healthy adults to see what kinds of spores they would find. The scientists also took samples from other body parts including the chest, back, nostrils, scalp, arms, ears, and eyebrows. They found fungi there too, just not as many types.
