It's happening. After nearly three years of diplomatic deadlock, Israel and Palestine have agreed to resume peace negotiations starting Monday evening, the U.S. State Department said. Secretary of State John Kerry called Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas Sunday to propose two days of meetings, and both sides accepted. Israel's cabinet approved the release of 104 Palestinian prisoners Sunday, despite resistance. "This moment is not easy for me. It is not easy for the ministers. But there are moments in which tough decisions must be made for the good of the country, and this is one of those moments," Netanyahu said.
