Simmons Sorry for Tubman Sex Tape

Russell Simmons has removed from his YouTube channel a video spoof featuring Harriet Tubman having sex with her white “massa” as part of a blackmail scheme after the video resulted in a call from the NAACP and an uproar from, well, almost everyone who saw it. Although Simmons said in a statement that at first he thought the short was politically correct—outwitting the slave owner and all—he now says, "I can now understand why so many people are upset…I would never condone violence against women in any form, and for all of those I offended, I am sincerely sorry." Harriet Tubman was an escaped slave, and heralded conductor of the Underground Railroad who helped hundreds more flee bondage.
