Schindler had more important documents to his name than his famous list, as a recent auction deal proved. Letters and other papers linked to Oskar Schindler, including construction plans for his Krakow arms factory-cum-sanctuary, were sold at an auction in New Hampshire on Thursday for a total of $122,000. One of the items, a letter from Schindler instructing a supervisor at his Krakow factory to begin moving machinery to Czechoslovakia, went for $59,135. The move would result in over 1,000 Jews being saved from the Holocaust as a result of employment there.
