Two Europeans were burned alive on a tourist island in Madagascar by a mob that suspected them of organ trafficking, police said. One of the men who was killed had apparently admitted organ trafficking to locals after they found the body of a dead child on the island of Nosy Be, Madagascar's largest tourist resort. French officials said that the body of a child had indeed been found with its organs removed, and that one of the men burned was French. France warned its 700 nationals in Madagascar not to travel on the island and to delay any planned trips until Malagasy officials explained the exact circumstances of the horrific burnings.
