The international marvel “prankvertising” made a jaw-dropping debut this week at a New York City coffee shop when a woman magically hurled people, tables, and books across the store after a man spilled coffee on her. Executed by Sony to promote the upcoming horror adaptation Carrie, the stunt tricked customers (allegedly nonactors) into believing the woman had telekinetic powers. Sony pulled off the trick using remote-controlled tables, spring-loaded books, and a fake wall to suspend a man into the air. A clip of the scheme went viral, amassing 3 million views by Tuesday morning. Prepare to be amazed.
