Instead of screaming, crying, or being paralyzed by vivid flashbacks to the crash scene from Flight, one professor aboard a United flight decided to livetweet when his plane made an emergency landing on Friday. Georgetown University adjuct professor and marketing/social media expert Shashi Bellamkonda was on a flight from Washington D.C. to Boston when smoke starting coming out of the cabin’s vents. When the captain announced an emergency landing because air pressure had dropped, and the plane’s oxygen masks dropped, Bellamkonda snapped a selfie and began tweeting. Thankfully, the plane made a safe landing at a small airport in Delaware and United bought all 58 passengers pizza as they waited for another flight in the terminal.
