In an op-ed for The New York Times, Woody Allen responded to allegations that, in 1992, he sexually molested his 7-year-old adopted daughter Dylan. Unsurprisingly, Allen maintains that the allegations are false and the result of his ex-girlfriend Mia Farrow's vindictive influence after Allen began dating another of her adopted daughters, Soon-Yi Previn. He uses several anecdotes to call into question Mia's integrity as a person, including the question of who Ronan Farrow's real father is. "Even if he is not Frank [Sinatra’s], the possibility she raises that he could be indicates she was secretly intimate with him during our years," writes Allen. "Not to mention all the money I paid for child support. Was I supporting Frank’s son? Again, I want to call attention to the integrity and honesty of a person who conducts her life like that." Allen adds that he loved Dylan and that he and Soon-Yi "are both hoping that one day she will understand who has really made her a victim and reconnect with us, as [her brother] Moses has, in a loving, productive way."
