For the second consecutive year, Sen. Rand Paul won the CPAC-Washington Times Straw Poll. He earned 31 percent of the vote at the conservative conference where he accused Democrats of offering a “full stomach and an empty soul.” Sen.Ted Cruz of Texas took second with 11 percent of the vote, while Dr. Ben Caron took third. Despite the Bridgegate scandal, Gov. Chris Christie earned fourth place in the straw poll. Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker and former Sen. Rick Santorum of Pennsylvania tied for fifth place, while Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida, came in seventh.
