886,815 Honda Odyssey minivans that were built between 2005 and 2010 are being recalled because of a problem with the fuel pump. Honda reportedly told the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration that gasoline could leak and potentially cause fires due to parts of a fuel pump that could “deteriorate prematurely in a manner that can result in cracks.” Last year, Honda recalled 344,000 of its 2007-8 Odysseys and 318,000 of its 2003-4 models. Honda said it has not been made aware of any injuries resulting from the fault. Its recall comes days after a report by the Center for Auto Safety showing that General Motors' faulty ignition and failure to recall its cars sooner could be linked to as many as 303 deaths.
