The deadly Middle East respiratory syndrome (MERS) has arrived in the United States for the first time. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced that it's investigating the case with officials in Indiana. MERS has infected at least 400 people and killed over 100 in the two years since it first surfaced. While victims of the SARS-like respiratory disease, also found in camels, have all been tied to the Middle East in some way, no one has figured out how humans are contracting it.
