Despite nearly a week trapped in the wreckage of a car crash, Kristin Hopkins has managed to survive. On Sunday, the single mother of four was finally found 65 miles southwest of Denver after a group of people spotted the wreckage. They reported to the sheriff's office they had “found a body in the vehicle,” not realizing Hopkins was still alive. Missing since last Tuesday, Hopkins wrote notes on a umbrella that she stuck through a broken windshield as an attempt to get people's attention. They said “Please help, am bleeding” and “six days no food or water.” Though Hopkins remarkably survived, she does have major injuries and will need to have her feet amputated.
