Jay Leno is getting the last laugh. The former host of The Tonight Show will receive the Kennedy Center’s Mark Twain Prize for American Humor. "What an honor!” Leno said in a statement. “I’m a big fan of Mark Twain’s. In fact, ‘A Tale of Two Cities’ is one of my favorite books!” Leno is the 17th winner of the prize and joins an illustrious list of comedians, including Tina Fey, Richard Pryor, Carol Burnett, and Billy Crystal. Neither David Letterman nor Conan O’Brein, both Leno enemies, have won the honor. The award ceremony will take place October 19.
