A South Carolina sheriff who likes to show off the hundreds of illegal immigrants he's deported now stands accused of taking bribes from a restaurant mogul to help his undocumented employees. James R. Metts had been authorized by federal officials to enforce federal immigration laws, and he was vocal about the deportations that resulted from his work. However, he is alleged to have made an exception for restaurateur Gregorio Leon. Metts allegedly took cash from Leon to try and then free his workers. Leon, however, was forced by the Department of Labor to shell out $170,000 to employees after he was found to be not paying them minimum wage or overtime.
