Germany made it to the World Cup semi-finals for a record fourth time in a row on Friday when it beat France 1-0. The match, which was slowed by the stifling heat, was settled by a header scored by Mats Hummels in the first half. France could not get back into the game. Germany will play Brazil or Colombia on Tuesday in its bid for a fourth world title.
