Nissan hasn't pulled quite as many cars as General Motors, but the automakers' latest recall is nothing to snuff at. Nissan is pulling 226,000 cars over a defective air bag, including lines of Infiniti, Maxima, Pathfinder and Sentra cars from 2002 to 2004. Nissan has already pulled 438,000 cars. The automaker discovered it was plagued by a faulty air bag system that has affected companies across the industry, including BMW, Chrysler, and Honda. When the air bags are deployed, there is a risk of metal fragments flying out, which, unsurprisingly, can potentially cause serious injuries.
