The unfortunately named Tropical Storm Bertha has developed east of the southern Lesser Antilles, according to the National Hurricane Center. The storm is moving west-northwest at about 20 mph and is expected to continue its pace for the next few days. It will pass near Barbados on Friday and then move through the Lesser Antilles. Maximum sustained winds on Thursday night were measured at 45 mph with higher gusts. Warnings have been issued for Barbados, St. Lucia, and Dominica, with a tropical storm watch issued for Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
