Dr. Kent Brantly, one of two Americans infected with Ebola and currently being treated at Emory University, said in a statement on Friday that he is “growing stronger every day.” Writing from the isolation room at the hospital, Brantly said, “I thank God for His mercy as I have wrestled with this terrible disease.” He recounts the morning he began feeling ill and isolated himself, receiving the diagnosis. “When the result was positive, I remember a deep sense of peace that was beyond all understanding,” he writes. “God was reminding me of what He had taught me years ago, that He will give me everything I need to be faithful to Him.”
