David Cameron Faces Revolt Over EU

Up to 100 members of British Prime Minister David Cameron's own Conservative Party are preparing to defy him by declaring that they will vote to leave the European Union in a 2017 referendum, regardless of what concessions he wins from the bloc. The so-called Euroskeptics are to make their pledges to quit the EU ahead of next May's general election. Such pledges would effectively say that the MPs have no confidence that the premier can wrest new concessions for Britain in upcoming negotiations with the EU. In the United Kingdom, both politicians and ordinary citizens are increasingly divided over whether the country should remain in the group or go it alone.
