The U.S. Coast Guard and Jamaican rescue crews searched Saturday for wreckage of a plane that went unresponsive for hours and crashed in the ocean north of Jamaica. The plane belonged to a New York real estate developer and his wife, Larry and Jane Glazer. Jamaican rescuers say they have located an oil slick in the water where the plane likely went down. The couple’s three children said in a statement, “We are devastated by the tragic and sudden loss of our parents, Jane and Larry Glazer. They loved and appreciated the opportunity to help build the community of Rochester, and we thank everyone in the community for their expressions of support…We understand that there are many questions yet to be answered about today’s evens, and we too are awaiting answers.”
