The 5-year-old British boy whose parents were jailed then released for taking him abroad in search of experimental cancer remedies will start him on a proton-beam therapy that has a 70 percent chance of survival, according to a Czech clinic. The boy, Ashya King, who has brain cancer, underwent MRI and CT scans Tuesday ahead of the planned treatment, which will start next Monday and last six weeks. Ashya has been taken from England to Spain and now the Czech Republic in search of medical help. He left the Proton Therapy Center in Prague clutching a teddy bear. His father, Brett King, said there were no signs Ashya has “any regrowth of cancer.”
