The second trial for Michael Dunn, the man who shot a teenager dead and fired on his friends because their music was too loud for him, began on Monday with jury selection. His first trial for first-degree murder ended in February in a deadlocked jury so he’s going back to court. Dunn, 47, killed Jordan Davis, 17, when he fired on a vehicle Davis was sitting in with his friends. Dunn has claimed that he saw Davis with a gun and felt threatened, but no witness has corroborated that. Dunn’s lawyer has asked for the trial to be moved outside of Jacksonville, Florida, because his client cannot get a fair trial with all of the publicity surrounding the case. Florida State Attorney Angela Corey, who is prosecuting the case, has opposed the motion.
