A New Jersey hospital chief executive and his wife were found dead Sunday following a fire in their home, according to law-enforcement officials. The two were identified as John Sheridan, 72, CEO and president of Cooper University Health System, and his wife Joyce, 69. They were found unresponsive in the second-floor bedroom of their home in Montgomery Township, N.J., authorities said. The cause of death and of the fire was under investigation, a spokesman said. John Sheridan had a long career in New Jersey state government; he served as transportation commissioner under former Gov. Thomas Kean and on the transition team for Gov. Chris Christie.
