Dallas Cowboys safety C.J. Spillman is being investigated in connection with an alleged sexual assault at the team’s hotel on Sept. 20, according to police in Grapevine, Texas. Spillman has not been arrested or charged, police spokesman Barry Bowling said. Bowling said a report was filed Sept. 20 and the matter is still under investigation. ESPN says Spillman, who was signed by the Cowboys on Aug. 31, has been cooperating fully with authorities. Police say the alleged incident occurred at the Gaylord Hotel, where several Cowboys stay until they find apartments. Attorney Gloria Allred reportedly sent a letter to a Cowboys executive raising concerns about the alleged victim. There was no immediate response from the Cowboys.
