A Pennsylvania Supreme Court justice was suspended on Monday after it was found that Seamus McCaffery was sending pornographic emails to state employees. He will be kept from the court on "an interim basis" with pay, and before 30 days an investigation will determine whether there is enough to file charges. "In my two decades of experience on this court, no other justice . . . has done as much to bring the Supreme Court into disrepute," Chief Justice Ronald Castille wrote about McCaffery in a statement.
