Rwanda Screens Americans for Ebola

As the United States moves to tighten screening for all arrivals from West Africa’s Ebola-stricken zone, disease-free Rwanda said it will begin checking visiting Americans for the virus. The country’s health minister said travelers who have been in the U.S. or Spain, the two countries outside of West Africa that have seen transmission during the Ebola outbreak, will be checked upon arrival and must report on their health during their stay. No Ebola cases have been reported in Rwanda, which is in East Africa. The country also is banning visitors who recently traveled to Liberia, Guinea, and Sierra Leone, which are at the heart of the outbreak.
