A total of five students were arrested Wednesday after they greeted Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha with a three-finger salute made popular in The Hunger Games to protest his military coup. The prime minister was in the region to launch a campaign against drought. The five students wore shirts with anti-coup messages. According to a security official, the students were detained at a military camp for “attitude adjustment.” Apparently, since the army took power in the coup, the three-finger salute from the films has become a popular symbolic gesture in the country.
