A South Texas woman was killed after being run over by her own vehicle while she was looking for her dog, authorities said. The Corpus Christi Caller-Times reports that police believe 30-year-old Melody Hubbard failed to put her SUV in park after she spotted her dog and got out of her vehicle. Police found Hubbard under the SUV with injuries to her head and torso. She was taken to a local hospital, where she later died. Investigators say when they arrived at the scene, the SUV was in reverse, the driver door was open and the wheels were turned.
