Egyptian officials announced Sunday that Czech archaeologists have discovered the tomb of a previously unknown queen. She is believed to be the wife of Pharaoh Neferefre, who ruled 4,500 years ago. The tomb was found in Abu Sir, home of other pyramids for pharaohs from the Fifth Dynasty. The queen has been identified as Khentakawess, and according to the archaeologists, this is the “first time we have discovered the name of this queen, who had been unknown before the discovery of her tomb.”
