Yemeni President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi is said to have reached a deal with the Shiite rebels holding him captive in his home, according to state media SABA news agency. In exchange for ending the violent standoff, the rebels from the Houthi movement are to be given more of a say in government affairs by expanding their representation in parliament and state governments. In addition to vacating the president's home, the rebels will also release a top presidential aid that they captured. However, the deal doesn't answer the question of who controls Yemen or how much power Hadi, a key U.S. ally, will retain.
