Officer Shoots Inmate at Dallas Airport

An inmate was shot while being transported at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport on Friday, authorities said. The prisoner got into an altercation with an officer in a men's bathroom in Terminal C when the officer shot him once in the hand, airport spokesman David Magana told NBC 5. The inmate and officer were taken to the hospital by ambulance and no other injuries were reported. Air traffic operations were not affected and only some flights in Terminal C where the incident happened were moved to different gates.
