Prosecutors in Washington state determined that “insufficient evidence remains” to criminally charge two police officers who shot an unarmed, innocent man in his bed. The King County Prosecutor’s Office says there’s nothing to show the cops “acted with malice or bad faith” in 2012 when they shot Dustin Theoharis shot 16 times while he lay in bed. (Thankfully, he survived.) The offers were seeking another man at the victim’s home and claimed Theoharis looked like he was reaching for a gun before inflicting wounds on his face, abdomen, legs, and arms. Theoharis had reached a $3 million settlement with King County in 2013 before bringing forth a federal lawsuit.
