Hundreds of protesters marched on Buenos Aires on Wednesday over the death of federal prosecutor Alberto Nisman. The silent march, organized by prosecutors demanding a probe into the mysterious death, was attended by members of Nisman’s family and opposition politicians. Nisman was found dead in his apartment on Jan. 18, the night before he was due to appear before a parliamentary committee to present a report alleging President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner and Foreign Minister Hector Timerman covered up Iran’s involvement in the 1994 bombing of a Jewish center. It is still unclear if Nisman was murdered or committed suicide. Similar protests took place across the country while officials denounced the march as a move to weaken the government.
