Islamic State militants have claimed a blast at a Libyan police checkpoint that wounded five policemen in Tripoli on Sunday. A bag of explosives was set off near a security building, injuring five policeman, according to Essam Nas, a security spokesman. Islamic State militants posted online an image purporting to be the blast site. A car bomb also exploded in Misrata, where a group battling ISIS was targeted. The car bomb left one dead, said Mahmoud al-Shaoush, a member of the group that was hit. Fighting broke out between the two groups on Saturday near Sirte. Islamic militant groups that have pledged their loyalty to ISIS over the past six months have taken responsbility for several attacks in the restive country.
