A Denver-bound flight taking off from Dulles International Airport in Washington, D.C. was forced to return Monday night after a passenger reportedly became violent. “We had a passenger becoming violent. No weapons involved. He’s restrained by other passengers now, though,” the pilot of United Flight 1074 told air-traffic control. A passenger told NBC News that the man made claims he had a bomb after he tried to make it into the cockpit before he was retrained. Video appears to show a passenger telling the man “Don’t move. You’re OK. We’re going to get you off this plane, buddy,” while the man screams “Please get me up.” The Boeing 737, which had 33 passengers and six crew members on board, returned around 10:40 p.m. ET. The man was taken for a medical evaluation at a local hospital, according to an airport spokesperson.
