Notre Dame breezed by Wichita State 81-70 in the Midwest regional semifinals Thursday while Wisconsin knocked off North Carolina 79-72, sending the Irish and the Badgers to the final eight of the NCAA tournament. Demetrius Jackson scored 20 points for the Irish to overtake the seventh-seeded Shockers. Wisconsin’s Sam Dekker scored a career-high 23 points while the Badgers rallied in the last 10 minutes. The third-seed Irish will face off with undefeated Kentucky in Saturday's regional final while Wisconsin will match up with No. 2 seed Arizona to secure a Final Four spot. Kentucky beat West Virginia in a 78-39 victory and Arizona held off No. 6 Xavier 68-60 on Thursday as well.
