In his Easter Sunday message, Pope Francis asked for peace “above all” in Syria and Iraq, and called on the world to address the “immense humanitarian tragedy” in the two countries. Also mentioned in his plea for peace were Ukraine, Libya, Yemen, Nigeria, Sudan, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
