Maxime Fohounhedo, who was charged last year for sexually assaulting a female passenger, has been vindicated of all accounts, including kidnapping. The 22-year-old woman, who was intoxicated during her ride, claimed she woke up in the driver’s home to him having sex with her before he helped her home. Fohounhedo, who has spent the last four months in jail, informed prosecutes he had a cell-phone recording of their conversation as he took her home. “He had a gut feeling he needed to protect himself,” his lawyer, Shady Yassin, said. “She was having a friendly conversation with him and talking about her boyfriend and her work and gave him a hug at the end.” The court authenticated the recording and plans to release Fohounhedo on Monday evening.
