A high court judge in Pakistan has ordered criminal charges to be filed against two CIA officials for a 2009 drone strike that killed two people. John Rizzo, the CIA’s former acting counsel, and ex-station chief Jonathan Bank, are to be charged with murder, conspiracy, waging war against Pakistan, and terrorism. “Bank fled Pakistan in 2010 after his cover was blown,” the AP reports, “when a man named Kareem Khan initially threatened to sue the CIA over the deaths of his brother and his son in a purported 2009 strike.” Since 2004, the U.S. has launched nearly 400 drone strikes in Pakistan.
