The man who recorded the crucial video evidence of unarmed man Walter Scott being shot in the back by a South Carolina police officer after a traffic stop told NBC Nightly News on Wednesday that there was a struggle between the two men before Officer Michael Slager opened fire. “I remember the police had control of the situation,” Feidin Santana said. “He had control of Scott. And Scott was just trying to get away from the Taser.” Santana said that after he saw Slager shoot Scott, “I knew right away, I had something on my hands.”
