President Obama intends to take Cuba off the list of state sponsors of terrorism, according to an announcement from the White House on Tuesday. The move would help restore diplomatic relations between the two countries and comes after Obama and Cuban president Raul Castro met last week at the Summit of the Americas—the first such high level meeting since 1960. Cuba was added to the terrorism list 30 years ago, joining Iran, Sudan, and Syria.
