Abdirahman Sheik Mohamud was charged Thursday with providing material support to the al Nusra Front, an al Qaeda splinter group. Federal authorities allege the Columbus man traveled overseas to train with al Nusra in Syria last April and returned home with instructions to carry out a terrorist attack. Mohamud was arrested in February on several terrorism counts, including providing material support to a terror group in the form of a tablet or another computer. The indictment against Mohamud says his brother was killed while fighting for al Nusra last June.
