South Korean Prime Minister Lee Wan-koo offered his resignation Monday after he was accused of accepting bribes, just two months into serving his post. Businessman Sung Wan-jong, who died in an apparent suicide this month, left a note detailing how he bribed Lee and seven other figures. Before his death, Sung also told a local newspaper he gave Lee $27,000 in illegal campaign donations in 2013 while seeking re-election for parliament. Lee has denied the allegations, but President Park Geun-hye has called the scandal "regrettable" and ordered a "thorough investigation" into the allegations. The president will decide on Lee's resignation offer after she returns from her state visit in Peru.
